Wajih is an award-nominated journalist, PR specialist and public speaker, with a decade of experience writing, editing and hosting for online, print and broadcast media in the United States and the Middle East. He is currently a district manager at SAHARA Communications, a comprehensive Dubai-based public relations and management consultancy.
Prior to this role, he was involved in brand management in the FMCG sector, with duties encompassing all activities related to launching the brand in the UAE market, including distribution, merchandising, sampling, events, advertising, and other brand-building activities that draw upon his experience in media, events, promotions, and marketing.
Wajih was previously the features editor of Jordan Business Monthly, Jordan's first business magazine, as well as writer-at-large for leading lifestyle magazine Living Well, contributing to its highly popular On the Scene section and Spotlight celebrity interviews. His in-demand interviewing has covered royalty, government officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, musicians, painters, scholars, environmentalists, and humanitarians in Jordan and beyond, and he posseses expertise in corporate analysis and investigative reporting, for which he was nominated for the 2005 Inquirer Award.
Before leaving Jordan in late 2006, he had served for several months on the Jordanian advisory board of Tejari.com, the premier online B2B marketplace in the region. His other interests include film, radio, writing novels and screenplays, DJing, and reading on various non-fictional topics.
