He has cultivated relationships with buyers and negotiated import/export agreements. For his clients he has conducted extensive market research to determine viability of new business venture.
He has also offered executive leadership and successfully navigated international business challenges. He provided expertise and consultative services focused on sales and marketing strategies to elevate revenues for global businesses.
In addition to his consulting business, he provides practical trade insights and timely expert advice using articles and live sessions in crucial import/export issues for Alibaba.com’s Resources Channel. Tekle’s academic credentials and professional experience provide a solid foundation for practical information discerning international traders can use.
His previous international business and marketing experiences include consulting for BAYTRADE, an export promotion organization, and for the Small Business Development Center/Center for International Trade and Development. He has also taught at Georgetown University School of Continuing Education, the University of California at Santa Cruz Extension and other colleges in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, California. He has conducted live training for entrepreneurs using satellite broadcast for the African Virtual University (AVU), a World Bank spin-off.
